Large Pan, Oven, Cooking Oil, Salt, Pepper

Black and White Sesame Crusted Salmon

Over a lentil salad mixed with citrus dressing. With homemade tomato coulis.

Step 1
Preheat oven to 400°F
Heat large pan over medium high heat
Meanwhile, season salmon with salt & pepper
(to taste)

Step 2
Add 1 tbsp oil into pan
Place salmon in pan, sesame crusted side down
Cook for 1 min; flip
Cook other side for another min

Step 3
Place salmon on baking pan (or oven-proof pan)
Bake in oven:
Rare = 2 min; Medium Rare = 4 min; Medium = 7
min; Medium Well = 9 min; Well = 11 min

Step 4
Heat a small pan over medium heat
Add lentils with vegetables, citrus dressing,
salt & pepper 
(to taste)
Cook and stir for 2-3 min

Step 5
Plate by placing salmon on top of lentil salad
and the tomato coulis around the plate
